Explore the basics of “sculpting” layers of vibrant acrylic colors into unique images that express your individual creativity. This is an introduction to a “no brush” technique that uses pallet knives, balloons, and other objects to create art on canvas. Messy play isn’t just for kids!

Participants will leave the session with one or two completed 5 × 7″ personal artworks on canvas.

Bio:

Dora Butler is a lifelong explorer of a diverse array of creative mediums, and she has always used whatever was available along her artistic journey. Fabric, clay, broken glass, watercolors on yupo, and, currently, acrylic paints on canvas offer Dora the opportunity to create images that unravel the mysteries of her internal and external world. Self-taught through this exploration, she claims no expertise in the field of fine arts. Dora believes that we are all natural creators and that playful creativity is essential to a joyful life. Or, as Dora says, “Images revealed through the creative experience connect us to the wonder and beauty of our every day.”
