Temporary Food Establishment Application (fill out and return to Sedalia Center by October 7th)
Rules and Guidelines for Teams
Each Team Captain will need to fill out the Temporary Food Establishment Application (see below) no later than Tuesday, October 7th. This must be done in order to participate. We’ve already filled out much of the form to try make it as easy as possible for you. Please reach out with any questions.
The 2025 Buzzy Coleman Chili Cookoff starts on Saturday, October 25th at 11:00am. Chili tasting starts at high noon!
- Each team needs to make a minimum of 10 gallons of chili (yes, that’s a lot of chili).
- Each team should have a chili sample ready for judges’ tasting at 11:30am.
- Every team that enters will get 4 free season passes for the 2026 season!
- Plus, each team is welcome to camp out at the Sedalia Center Friday (and/or Saturday) during the event!
Cash prizes to be given away are:
$1000, People’s Choice: the crowd’s favorite chili (voted on throughout the day)
$1000, Judges’ Choice: first place determined by our judges
$500, Best Presentation: looking good is almost as important as tasting good!
