The Sedalia Center is proud to present the 3rd Annual Jazz & Wine Festival!  Featuring wineries from around Bedford County and the greater Virginia area.  Come sample the tastes of some of the region's best vintners including: Bright Meadows Farm, Hickory Hill Vineyards, Sans Soucy Vineyards, Virginia Mountain Vineyards, Brooks Mill Winery, Lazy Days Winery, Century Beverage Distributors.

While perusing the vendors be sure to check out the music on the main stage.  This years line up includes the high-energy sounds of ACME Swing Mfg. Co. With their vintage guitars, violin, sax, clarinet, upright bass, and vocal harmonies you will get out of your seat and boogie-woogie.  With influences from Al Jolson to Cab Calloway to Roger Rabbit, their tunes make you move your feet.

Also headlining this years festival is The Vince Lewis Trio featuring the enchanting Liz Barnes on piano.  Vince Lewis is a veteran jazz performer, composer and recording artist. He has appeared with countless major entertainers and jazz musicians. Since actively pursuing a solo career he has achieved national acclaim and airplay, as well as outstanding critical reviews in every major jazz publication. Vince was nominated in 2009 for the West Virginia Music Hall of Fame.  His original arrangements for Solo Jazz Guitar are published regularly in Just Jazz Guitar Magazine, the most prominent Jazz Guitar publication in the world.

A native of North Carolina, pianist Liz Barnes has been teaching and performing for 20 years. Liz moved to Norfolk, Virginia in 1988 and quickly made a name for herself in the blues scene playing with well-known regional acts and performing as an opening act for many acclaimed blues artists. While Liz’s piano style is firmly rooted in the blues, it reflects the whole jazz tradition from bebop to modernism.  She has performed extensively as a solo jazz pianist as well as with small ensembles and big bands.
