5th Annual BBQ @ Sedalia
Join us for the best BBQ around!
On Saturday, May 22nd the Sedalia Center will host its 5th Annual BBQ @ Sedalia. Barbeque lovers will gather to celebrate the art and secrets of slow-cooked pork barbeque. Gates open at 12 noon. The festival will be held rain or shine. No coolers or pets allowed. Admission is $10 in advance and $15 at the gate. (Children under 12 FREE!) The admission price includes BBQ sampling and live entertainment. Food, beer and other beverages are available for purchase.

BBQ Teams will likely begin cooking Friday night and continue into the early hours of Saturday morning. The 4-person teams typically have playful names, but are serious about tasty and tender pork barbeque. Attendees get to sample each of the recipes and vote for their favorite. Cash ($300) and a plaque are awarded for first place. Plaques are also given for second and third place, People’s Choice and Best Presentation.

Competition Information
Requirements: 5 Gallons of BBQ (any variety) cooked on-site. Teams may consist of up to 4 members and must provide own tents, tables, cooking supplies, and decorations. Sedalia Center will provide serving cups, spoons, and napkins. Electrical service (110v) may be provided upon request. There is no entry fee.
